On the weekend on December 17th December 2011 JoJo and Sarah Otto performed a version of Oh Holy Night together at their local church as part of their Christmas Spectacular. The cast and crew worked extremely hard to pull this production together and there were 4 late nights of rehearsals in the week leading up to the performance.
There were 4 performances over the weekend to over 2,400 people.
Sometimes we forget just how small JoJo still is, until we see him on such a big stage next to Sara.
In this interview JoJo is interviewed by The Profit from the hip hop show Krosswerdz on Rhema 94.9 FM. This interview was the last of 3 interviews for that day, JoJo’s busiest media day to date.
The Profit gave JoJo a CD of the Krosswerdz crew at the end of the interview. These guys are from Australia and bring an Australian flavour. JoJo has not stopped listening to the CD since because he had never heard rap like this before.
JoJo was interviewed by Chris Smith on Radio 2GB this morning, Sydney’s #1 radio station. This was a special momemt for JoJo’s dad as he is a massive fan of the station. Chris did an amazing interview with JoJo. We appreciate how he treated him and the cause. A special thanks to Lizzy in the 2GB office for organising the interview.
It ended up being a very entertaining interview, a must listen.
Today JoJo was interviewed on Hope 103.2 FM. He did really well during the interview and as an added bonus, his whole song was played after the interview. This is a huge moment for JoJo as this was the first time his music was played on radio. Hope 103.2 then played the song again later that evening.
Thanks for your support Hope 103.2, JoJo appreciates it.
When you are 8 years old, there are many changes you go through, including losing your teeth. This is not usually a problem unless you are recording a rap song which requires pronouncing a huge amount of words in a very short period of time.
When JoJo recorded his first song Throw Ya Hands at 7 he had just lost his front two teeth which made it very difficult to say words starting with “Th”. If you listen carefully you will notice he says “Frow Ya Hands” instead of “Throw Ya Hands.” This is what happens when rappers lose their front teeth.
On 23th August JoJo recieved his first batch of CD’s. The CD contains his first two songs Throw Ya hands and Lift Your Praise with an into of JoJo explaining why he recorded the songs. To date JoJo has given away 600 of these CD’s to children.
Today JoJo Performed live at the HopeUC Kids Carnival. Vinnie and JoJo are starting to work great together on stage and the kids really enjoyed the performance. Each child was given a JoJo Rock CD with his two songs as part of the show bag. We hope his music has a positive effect on these impressionable minds.
